Liposuction is a surgical procedure that involves removing unwanted fat from the body. Liposuction is also called lipo, lipoplasty or body contouring.

Indications:

Normally liposuction is performed in men and women who are close or at their ideal weight who have extra fat, normally located on their abdomen, flanks, back, inner and outer thigh, arms and under the chin and in some cases around the knee , that theY can’t get rid of.

Done properly liposuction is a very benign procedure but like all surgical procedures there are potential complications such as:

4) Seroma

5) Fat embolism

6) Pulmonary edema

7) Deep vein thrombosis

Recovery time is minimal no more than 2-3 days if it’s done locally and a few more days if done under general anesthesia.
