Injectable Uses for Natural EnhancementsInjectables are a popular and effective way to enhance and rejuvenate the appearance of the skin, providing natural-looking results without the need for surgery. At Zinnia Aesthetics and Anti-Aging Clinic, we offer a wide range of injectables to meet the unique needs and concerns of our patients. We make sure to revitalize your look and turn back the hands of time safely. Anteneh Roba MD is focused on an ultra-subtle approach and meticulous attention to detail.

“ My aesthetic is exceptionally subtle, I discourage clients from doing too much- I am here to help you enhance your natural beauty, not change it. Sometimes clients ask me for more, but  I believe in the “ less is more” approach. During a consultation I will study your facial features and then recommend a protocol or treatment- I also like to look at the whole lifestyle picture and talk to you about sleep, stress, and your overall well-being.”

When determining the difference between injection treatment options it can initially seem confusing – what is the difference between the injection treatments Xeomin and Botox, for example? Is there one that works better than the other? Xeomin, Dysport, and Botox are all injectables that contain the active ingredient botulinum toxin A, a neurotoxin that works to treat muscle spasm-related medical conditions and cosmetically to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles in a fight against the natural aging process. These neurotoxins are extremely effective but have slightly different compositions and can treat slightly different conditions.

Cosmetic injections, each holding their own unique benefits. Some fat-dissolving injections are best suited for the neck and chin, while others can be used across the body. Likewise, there are different variations of anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injections, some of which last longer than others.

One of the most popular injectables we offer is dermal fillers, which work by adding volume to the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hollow areas. Dermal fillers can be used to add fullness to the cheeks, lips, and under the eyes, and can be used to correct asymmetrical features for a more balanced, youthful appearance. Fillers can define the contours and restore lost volume to your face with noticeable but natural-looking results.

Xeomin is an injectable treatment derived from another type of botulinum toxin type A called incobotulinumtoxinA. When used for cosmetic purposes, the neurotoxin is best used to treat forehead lines (called glabellar lines), frown lines, and crow’s feet. Xeomin is unique from other forms of botulinum toxin A as it does not contain preservative proteins. This means that it is a pure form of neurotoxin, which will not cause the body to produce antibodies. As a result, the body does not grow resistant to the treatment over time.

Botox works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. Botox can be used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes and forehead and is an effective way to improve the overall appearance of the skin.  Botox can also be used in conjunction with other facial aesthetic procedures such as dermal fillers or laser treatment to optimize results. Not just reserved for lines and wrinkles, Botox has many uses and can also help to reduce gummy smiles, minimize teeth grinding, aid in the treatment of headaches and treat excessive sweating (armpits, hairline, hands, feet, groin, and menopausal sweats).

If you are looking for a non-invasive way to rejuvenate your skin, consider the injectable options available at Zinnia Aesthetics and Anti-Aging Clinic.
